Editors Rant

Firstly I would like to welcome you to my newest of websites and to a project I have been longing to commence for some time now.
Secondly, a little about me: My background lies in the Security and Defence Industry but also within that field I became involved in the use of computers as a work tool. 

Following on from that, I have had an interest in all things technological and computer orientated since the day my mother gave me a small strip of paper which had what appeared to be random holes punched in it....it was computer binary tape!!!!!

I enjoy the advancements in the digital world, particularly from the point of view that there is such an infinite resource of information available to us all.

Also I see the Social Networking, which now exists within the Online Community, as a major Global breakthrough in the way it is reducing the cultural boundaries of society.
OK...you noticed....I have started rambling already....hey my prerogative....MY LOCAL GAZETTE!!!

Anyway people, I must at this point take a moment to thank Peter Heavey for facilitating my opportunity to become a Charter Member of the THENDT Network and for all the help he is affording me even with his massive work load.

The THENDT Network is inspirational and as you will note, it not only offers the opportunity for an individual to have there own local gazette but for the individuals to be interlinked INTERNATIONALLY!

AIMS

Cutting to the chase, my intentions are to build an online Gazette with content reflecting both local issues and local business. (So if you're looking to advertise your Hull and area business...or indeed your online business...just drop me a line so that we can discuss it further: john@mylocalgazette.com ).

I am involved in many International Community Networks and would like to introduce some of my friends to my readers just to underline just how Global MyLocalGazette really is.

Also I want this Gazette to have content from people other than myself.....otherwise you will only see things from my point of view and whilst I already know that I am always right (chuckle chuckle) it would be good for others to give their opinions as well.

So get your grey matter stirred...do you have a good story to tell?
